Condition Description
This Victorian sofa is in good overall condition for its age. The red velvet upholstery shows general wear, including some thinning and areas of fabric wear (see photos).
The back of the sofa has worn fabric and areas where parts of the internal structure are visible. This isn’t usually an issue in practical use, as the sofa is intended to be placed with its back to a wall, so the rear isn’t typically on display.
Structurally the piece feels sound, and despite the expected age-related wear, it remains a very charming and usable antique.
